OUR PURPOSE
Victor Correa CPR Awareness Day was created to honor the memory of Victor Correa-Ortiz by spreading awareness about the importance of CPR training. His passing was a powerful reminder that being prepared to act in an emergency can save lives. This day serves as a call to action—encouraging communities to learn life-saving skills and be ready when every second counts. It’s about making sure no one stands by helplessly when they could be the reason someone survives.
The goal of our philanthropy is to empower our communities through access to life-saving knowledge and training. By offering free CPR certification, Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Incorporated is making sure that cost isn’t a barrier to being prepared. It’s about more than just learning a skill—it’s about stepping up for others and turning care into action. By honoring Victor’s legacy through this initiative, it reminds us that we all have the power to make a difference. By saving one's life, we can change many.
